Our tanks are stainless steel, which is hygienic, easy to clean and doesn't taint the taste of your water.
Sanitised and tested every quarter
We sanitise our tanks and have the water tested on a quarterly schedule, so problems are caught early.

We're registered with Taumata Arowai, New Zealand's drinking water regulator, and operate to the standards that registration requires.
About us
Local, owner-operated, and experienced behind the wheel
Gisborne Water is owned and run by Kiel Hovell. Kiel was born in Wairoa and raised in Gisborne. He knows the region's roads, back country and communities well, and has strong ties to the people he delivers to.
He has spent more than twenty years operating heavy vehicles and machinery, including fuel tankers, water carts and hiab trucks. That experience means careful driving on rural roads, tidy deliveries and a job done properly.
With three trucks on the road, we can cover more ground and get water to you sooner. When you call, you're dealing with a local business that cares about getting it right.

How much water do you deliver?
Our loads are 12,200 litres. Let us know your tank size when you get in touch and we'll talk you through it.
Where does your water come from?
All our water comes from Gisborne's council town supply. It's carried in stainless steel tanks that we sanitise and test every quarter.
Can you deliver today?
We try to accommodate same-day and emergency deliveries. Call us on 027 445 2021 as early as you can and we'll do our best to fit you in.
Do you provide WINZ quotes?
Yes. Let us know you need one when you get in touch and we'll prepare it for you.
Do you deliver after hours or on weekends?
Yes, by appointment. Our regular hours are 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
